Nature’s Bounty Health Products Ltd., founded in 2012 by Affiong Williams, is a leading Nigerian agribusiness specializing in the processing, packaging, and marketing of dried fruit and nut snacks branded as “Reelfruit”. The company transforms abundant local fruits such as mangoes, pineapples, coconuts, and cashews into healthy, preservative-free snacks, thereby reducing post-harvest waste and supporting local farmers. Reelfruit’s dried friut snacks are available in over 1,000 retail outlets across Nigeria and are exported to international markets, including the United States, Canada, Netherland, United Kingdom and several African countries.
ReelFruit’s Circular Economy commitment is demonstrated through our waste-to-value programme that converts fruit processing by-products into useful inputs rather than landfill. In 2025, we began structured recovery of organic waste streams (peels, pulp and rejected fruit) and redirected them into composting and soil-improvement applications, while also developing a coconut shell repurposing line for clean energy (coconut shell charcoal). This work reduced disposal costs, improved site hygiene, and created a pathway for local farmers to access lower-cost organic soil amendments. The programme is designed to scale through documented processes, training for youth operators and farmers, and measurable KPIs (tonnes of waste repurposed, people trained, and end-users reporting improved livelihoods). This approach embeds circularity into operations by turning waste streams into products that support agriculture and community value.

- Technical partner (advisory + capability building): an experienced organics/waste-processing expert to review and validate what we have already started, identify gaps, and provide hands-on advisory support during scale-up. The partner would lead operator training, strengthen SOPs/HSE and quality controls, support performance monitoring, and build internal capacity to run the process efficiently and consistently as volumes grow.
- Funding partner (scale/expansion-focused): a grant/DFI/impact finance partner to fund the expansion and replication of the waste-to-value work we have already started—covering additional processing capacity, supporting infrastructure, and working capital for scale-up.
