Turning Waste Into Opportunity
PlastiBuild Creative Solutions is a climate-tech and sustainable manufacturing company transforming how communities manage waste, create value, and build climate resilience.
We tackle one of Africa’s biggest environmental challenges—urban waste pollution—by converting discarded materials into functional products, clean energy solutions, and economic opportunities. From plastics and textiles to wood and organic waste, we show how waste can become a powerful resource for innovation and development.
What We Do
We design and deliver practical, scalable solutions across three key areas:
1. Waste-to-Value Innovation
We transform waste into high-quality, market-ready products such as:
- Eco-friendly footwear and accessories
- Modular furniture and building materials
- Low-carbon and sustainable consumer products
2. Climate-Tech & Clean Energy
We develop innovative systems that convert waste into usable energy and sustainable technologies, including:
- Clean-burning briquettes and fire-bricks
- Waste-to-energy solutions
- Smart recycling and upcycling technologies
3. Skills, Training & Community Empowerment
Through our makerspaces, digital hubs, and training programs, we equip young people, students, artisans, and communities with practical green skills:
- Recycling and upcycling
- Product design and prototyping
- Climate literacy and entrepreneurship
How We Work
Our approach combines technology, hands-on learning, and community-driven innovation.
We operate through:
- Digital Upcycling Hubs – blending learning, design, and production
- Makerspaces – physical environments for building real solutions
- Training Programs & Bootcamps – turning knowledge into practical skills
- Consulting & Partnerships – helping organisations implement sustainable systems
This integrated model allows us to move beyond theory and create real-world, scalable impact.
Our Impact
We are building a new generation of circular innovators by:
- Reducing waste pollution in communities
- Creating jobs and livelihood opportunities
- Promoting clean and affordable energy alternatives
- Equipping young people with future-ready green skills
- Supporting organisations with sustainable transformation
Our Story
PlastiBuild started as a small backyard experiment in Bariga, Lagos, where a young innovator began turning discarded waste into useful products.
What began as curiosity quickly grew into a movement—bringing together young people, artisans, and community members to learn, create, and innovate together.
Today, PlastiBuild has evolved into a growing climate-tech company working with partners across Nigeria to deliver sustainable solutions with real impact—while staying true to its roots of community-driven innovation.
Our Mission
To build climate-smart communities by transforming waste into opportunity through innovation, skills development, and circular economy solutions.
A Movement, Not Just a Company
PlastiBuild is more than a business—we are building a movement of innovators, creators, and problem-solvers committed to rethinking waste and redesigning the future of sustainability in Africa.
PlastiBuild’s flagship Circular Economy achievement is the Digital Waste Upcycling Hub & Makerspace in Bariga, Lagos. Through this initiative, we have diverted over 5 tonnes of plastic waste (PET bottles, sachet water nylon, and packaging plastics) from dumpsites and waterways, transforming them into value-added products such as EcoFeet Pro footwear, furniture panels, and lifestyle accessories.
The project has trained and empowered 150+ youths and women with hands-on skills in waste sorting, material processing, product design, and green entrepreneurship, enabling income generation from waste. We integrated digital tools, basic prototyping tech, and design thinking to ensure scalability and market relevance.
Beyond waste recovery, the Hub serves as a community innovation ecosystem, reducing environmental pollution, promoting sustainable consumption, and demonstrating how localized circular economy solutions can create jobs, cut emissions, and build climate resilience in underserved urban communities.

We are seeking three core partnership types to scale our circular economy impact:
- Funding & Investment Partners: To support the expansion of our Digital Waste Upcycling Hub & Makerspace, scale youth and women training programs, and pilot market-ready circular products.
- Technical & Innovation Partners: To provide waste processing technologies, product R&D support, digital tools (LMS, traceability, data systems), and capacity building for high-quality upcycled manufacturing.
- Corporate & Market Access Partners: To enable off-take agreements, product commercialization, and integration of upcycled materials into sustainable supply chains.
These partnerships are critical to achieving measurable waste reduction, job creation, and scalable circular economy solutions.
